Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Bozzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos moves forwards but Bozzi connects with a nice, crisp jab.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramos can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bozzi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ramos is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Bozzi thuds his right hand into Ramos's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bozzi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramos's waist but Ramos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bozzi off to one side.

Ramos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bozzi moves away.

As Ramos looks to move away, Bozzi throws a big counter combo bu Ramos just gets out of the way.

Ramos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bozzi.

Bozzi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ramos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bozzi manages to avoid it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bozzi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bozzi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jason Bozzi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jason Bozzi will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ramos lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bozzi backwards.
I was talking to Bozzi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Ramos misses with a hook. Bozzi ducked under it nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bozzi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
