The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frederick has closed the distance and engaged Drako in a clinch.

Frederick turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Drako sneaks out the side door and pushes Frederick away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
We've been told by Drako's head coaches at Beast Playground that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Frederick shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Drako pushes Frederick off looking to stand but Frederick dives back in and keeps control.
Frederick prevents Drako from improving his position.
Drako works his way to full guard. Good work.
Drako trying to keep a closed guard but Frederick is proving a slippery customer.

Frederick gets to his feet. Drako looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Frederick turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Drako throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Frederick wants to clinch but Drako slips to the side
and Drako counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Frederick is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Drako drops down looking for a counter takedown but Frederick sprawls and moves away.
Jasper Frederick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frederick gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Frederick has clasped his hands together around Drako's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Drako bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Frederick shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Frederick was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Drako is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Frederick's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Drako gets back to full guard.

Frederick throws a big right hand that misses.

Drako has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Frederick doesn't defend quickly enough and Drako has managed to lock this one up! Can Frederick escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Drako on a fantastic submission victory.
