PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ardjem Vamidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Terkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Terkey gets caught flat footed, as Vamidov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Terkey trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Vamidov sitting in guard here, content to control.
Vamidov trying to control but Terkey is working from the bottom.
Terkey throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Terkey wants to stand but Vamidov is controlling the position.

Vamidov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Terkey is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Terkey has escaped and now he's on top!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vamidov is trying to control the position but Terkey postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Terkey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vamidov swivels and escapes.

Terkey closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vamidov did well to prevent Terkey getting side control.
Vamidov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Terkey is working away from the top position though.

Vamidov has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Terkey. Oh but Vamidov has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Terkey goes limp - he's gone! Vamidov jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
