Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Isi Nanuq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Falt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Isi Nanuq!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dee Falt!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falt tests Nanuq's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nanuq on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nanuq has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nanuq scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A swing and a miss from Nanuq.
Nanuq throws a body punch but Falt moves out of range.
Falt misses with an uppercut.
Nanuq walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Falt showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nanuq.
Nanuq uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Falt.

Nanuq gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nanuq gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Falt tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Nanuq has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Poor strikes thrown by Nanuq there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Nanuq wants to control the pace but Falt is squirming around nicely.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nanuq cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nanuq lands a big shot there that rocks Falt but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Nanuq prevents Falt from getting the reversal.
Falt has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Nanuq lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Falt hang on?
Falt is desperately trying to improve his position but Nanuq has a good base and remains in mount.

Nanuq has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Falt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee warns Falt that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Nanuq tries to control but Falt wriggling away.
Nanuq connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Falt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Falt gets back to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nanuq connects with a nice short shot to Falt's temple.

Falt is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nanuq pulls his head out easily.

Falt has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Nanuq escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Nanuq!
The ground and pound from Nanuq seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Nanuq looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Falt is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nanuq advances to mount.

Nanuq lands a couple of good shots and Falt has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Nanuq connects with a big shot to the side of Falt's head.
Falt is still in real trouble! Can Nanuq finish him?

Nanuq controlling well, preventing Falt from escaping the position.
Falt seems to have recovered his senses.

Nanuq has the hooks in. Falt is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Nanuq passes his arm under Falt's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Falt taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Isi Nanuq!
A determined Isi Nanuq didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
