Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bane Dorrance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes shoots in looking for a takedown but Dorrance manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hughes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dorrance lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Jeremy Hughes has been cut.

Hughes closes the distance and clinches.

Dorrance escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dorrance fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dorrance throws a wild body kick that Hughes sees coming a mile off.
Hughes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dorrance was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Dorrance stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dorrance wants it to stay on the feet.
Dorrance checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hughes tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hughes misses with a takedown attempt - Dorrance sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dorrance lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hughes takes a step back to recover.
Hughes is breathing heavily.
Dorrance fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hughes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Dorrance throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hughes drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dorrance sprawls and moves away.
Dorrance connects with an inside leg kick.
Hughes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dorrance.
Dorrance misses with a head kick.
Hughes tries to clinch but Dorrance moves away
and Dorrance counters with a slapping leg kick.

Dorrance lands a big head kick that sends Hughes tumbling to the mat! Dorrance takes a step backwards and waves Hughes back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jeremy Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hughes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dorrance is trying to counter with his kicks.
A slapping leg kick lands for Dorrance.
Dorrance thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hughes if he has to take too many more of those.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dorrance looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Dorrance backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hughes's temple! It sends Hughes violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Dorrance celebrates and the doctors try to help Hughes!
