Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Smith!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Smith to score with a decent uppercut.
Turner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Turner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Smith checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Smith connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Turner's hands.
Smith's jab looks to have found its range, popping Turner under the eye.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
Turner scores with a kick to the body.

Turner takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
We've been told by Turner's head coaches at THC playhouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Turner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
Turner lands with a thumping leg kick.
Smith misses with a straight right.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Turner's shoulder, as Turner tries to avoid the shot.
Turner throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Turner lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Turner takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Chris Smith has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
Smith dives in and grabs Turner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turner pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Smith throws a right hand that misses
and Turner counters with a thumping low kick.
Decent striking displayed by Smith there.
Smith throws a poor cross that misses
and Turner counters with a solid body kick.
Smith looks winded!
Turner feints a jab and as Smith dips his head, Turner unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Smith right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Smith falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Turner smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ben Turner!
