The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatu misses with a takedown attempt
and D Amato makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fatu darts in looking for a takedown but D Amato gets double underhooks and turns Fatu into the cage.

D Amato lands a big uppercut and Fatu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Fatu looks OK. D Amato waves Fatu back to his feet!

D Amato ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Fatu out cold! The fight is over!

After the fight, Michael D Amato was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
