And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey McKenna!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenna shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horton wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
McKenna looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Horton is fending him off so far but McKenna persists. Nope, Horton circles away and we're back to standing.

McKenna tries to keep at a distance but Horton has taken the fight into the clinch.
Horton wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McKenna drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Horton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lester Horton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey McKenna.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKenna tries to break the clinch but Horton is controlling the position.
McKenna has Horton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Horton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Horton tries to break free but McKenna pushes him back against the cage.

Horton pulls guard effortlessly.
Horton wants to stand and escape but McKenna is having none of it.

McKenna stands up from Horton's guard - McKenna perhaps looking for a knockout.

Horrible takedown attempt by McKenna or perhaps it was just good defense by Horton, which made it look bad.
Horton dives in for a single leg takedown but McKenna sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McKenna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Horton circles away.
Horton feinted with a counter takedown.

McKenna has managed to clinch.

McKenna manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McKenna is controlling Horton's posture.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McKenna tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Horton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Horton tries to clinch but McKenna moves out of range.
Horton shoots in for a double leg but McKenna sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Horton sets himself, and McKenna steps forward looking for the clinch! Horton avoids it this time.
McKenna shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Horton as he avoids it easily.
McKenna fails with the takedown.
McKenna fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Horton manages to avoid it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McKenna changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Horton tries to avoid it but McKenna manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Horton to the ground. Horton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McKenna shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Horton but Horton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McKenna attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
McKenna tries for a takedown but Horton circles away easily

and Horton counters by moving into the clinch.
Horton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horton is trying to force a seperation but McKenna has the dominant position.
McKenna tries to pull guard but Horton holds him up against the cage and eventually McKenna drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on McKenna's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Horton wants to break free but McKenna has control.

McKenna jumps into guard, dragging Horton to the mat.
Horton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Horton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Horton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McKenna is trying to control the position but Horton postures up.
Horton looking to sit in guard and control but McKenna gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
McKenna seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

McKenna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Horton pinned against the cage. Horton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horton throws a counter high kick but McKenna was just alert enough to avoid it.
McKenna looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McKenna misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horton appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
McKenna looks for a takedown but Horton sprawls well.

McKenna decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Horton wants to control from the top but McKenna keeps moving.

McKenna working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Horton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Horton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Horton is in close to McKenna's body, working some short punches and elbows.

McKenna is pulling down on Horton's head. It's preventing any offense from Horton, at least for the moment.

Horton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McKenna can do to turn this around?

As McKenna tries to get set, Horton tries to push him back and clinch up but McKenna manages to avoid the attempt.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Horton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
