Desperately's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Legend of a Banished Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desperately moves in looking to clinch but Lacroix pushes him off.
Desperately's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lacroix connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Desperately scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Struggling Desperately has been cut.
Lacroix fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Desperately manages to avoid it.
Desperately looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Lacroix feints and then cracks Desperately's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Desperately down.
Lacroix tests Desperately's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lacroix lands a head kick. Desperately smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Max Lacroix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lacroix works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Desperately takes one on the button.
No joy there for Lacroix, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Desperately tries to counter with a takedown but Lacroix is quick to defend against it.

Desperately steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lacroix. That one must have hurt.

We've been told by Desperately's head coaches at Thirteenth Legion MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Desperately is breathing heavily.
Lacroix feints a jab and as Desperately dips his head, Lacroix unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Desperately right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Desperately falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Lacroix smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

After winning the bout, Max Lacroix thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Struggling Desperately stepped up to the mic, saying 'I pity da foo' that thinks he can beat me more than once!'.
