The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bird drives through and clinches with Speed against the cage.
Bird lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

It looks like Travis Speed has been cut.
Speed tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Speed is trying to pull guard but Bird has him pressed against the cage.
Bird lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bird lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Speed has a couple of punches blocked by Bird.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bird.
Bird definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Still in the clinch, Bird scores with a nice short uppercut.

That has opened up Travis Speed's cut even more.
Bird creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Speed's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The cut above Travis Speed's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bird creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Speed is still on wobbly legs! Can Bird finish him?
Clinched against the cage, Bird lands a big elbow that drops Speed! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Speed is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
