The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as st pierre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McCarthy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. st pierre is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McCarthy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take st pierre's back instead.
