PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamison bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Pietrzak gets tackled into the cage by Jamison. Jamison maintains the clinch.
Pietrzak lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jamison throws a punch but it's blocked by Pietrzak.

Pietrzak breaks from the clinch.
Jamison turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jamison. Pietrzak does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jamison paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Jamison goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
John Jamison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pietrzak doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jamison tries to clinch but Pietrzak is having none of it.
Jamison takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pietrzak blocks a head kick by Jamison.
Jamison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pietrzak tries to avoid it but Jamison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pietrzak to the ground. Pietrzak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pietrzak thuds his right hand into Jamison's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and Jamison counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Jamison darts in looking for a takedown but Pietrzak gets double underhooks and turns Jamison into the cage.
Jamison shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pietrzak pinned against the cage. Pietrzak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A jab from Pietrzak does it's job there.

Jamison throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jamison gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pietrzak to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pietrzak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jamison swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jamison looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pietrzak is defending well. Jamison quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pietrzak has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jamison celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
