Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Jansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, El Toro!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jansen stuffs the takedown.
Jansen misses with a head kick.
Jansen lands with a slapping head kick.
Jansen leaves Toro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jansen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Toro scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jansen manages to mount him!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Toro keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jansen working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Jansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toro on the ground.

Toro is trying desperately to improve position.
Toro is in a horrible position here. Jansen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toro really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Toro tries to hold on but Jansen pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jansen looking to control but Toro is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jansen controlling the pace for now.
Jansen trying to control but Toro is having none of it.
Toro keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jansen landing punches.

Toro tries to hold on but Jansen pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jansen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Toro looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Toro tries to lock up and control but Jansen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Toro can't escape the position.
Jansen trying to control but Toro is having none of it.
Jansen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jansen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Toro is looking to escape.
Jansen throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Toro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Toro blocks a head kick by Jansen.
Jansen lands with a kick to the temple. Toro shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Jansen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jansen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jansen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Toro is looking to regain half guard here but Jansen keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jansen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toro keeps working.
Toro is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jansen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Toro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jansen is working away from the top position though.

Jansen lands a head kick. Toro smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Toro shoots in for a takedown but Jansen shows good takedown defense.

Jansen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jansen wants it to stay on the feet.
James Jansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Toro.
Toro is breathing heavily.
Jansen throws a head kick that half lands.
Jansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jansen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
No luck for Toro with that takedown attempt.
Jansen tries a head kick but it misses.
And Toro tries to counter it with a takedown but Jansen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Jansen throws a head kick but Toro moves out of range.

Jansen throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Toro's head.

James Jansen is winning the standup battle so far.

Toro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jansen sprawls well. Jansen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Toro gets slowly back to his feet.
Toro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jansen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jansen scores with a kick to the midsection.
A head kick misses from Jansen.
Toro with the counter takedown but Jansen avoids it easily.
Toro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jansen circles away.
Jansen misses with a head kick.

Jansen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jansen tries a head kick but it misses.
Jansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Toro fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Jansen.
Toro tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jansen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jansen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Toro was covering up waiting for the punch and Jansen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jansen wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Toro's closed guard. He's half up but Toro has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Toro pivots and extends the arm, Jansen falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Toro! Well done that man!
