Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Arenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zubair Tukhugov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arenas comes into the arena with Alive-Krewella blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zubair Tukhugov!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tukhugov pushes Arenas up against the ropes in a clinch.
Arenas manages to break the clinch.
Tukhugov tries to clinch but Arenas is having none of it.
Arenas lands with an overhand left.
Tukhugov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Arenas swings for the body but Tukhugov moves out of range.
Arenas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nice jab there from Arenas.
Arenas misses with an uppercut
and Tukhugov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Arenas fails to land with a series of punches.
A slapping body kick lands there for Arenas.
Tukhugov wants to clinch.
Arenas circles away from the clinch attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tukhugov tries to clinch but Arenas is having none of it.
A little feinted left hand from Arenas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Arenas takes a swing at Tukhugov's ribcage but misses.
Tukhugov forces Arenas back against the ropes and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tukhugov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Arenas backwards.
Tukhugov misses with an elbow over the top.
Arenas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Tukhugov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Zubair Tukhugov has been cut.
Arenas throws a poor cross that misses
and Tukhugov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tukhugov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Arenas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Arenas has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tukhugov fails in his attempt to clinch.
Arenas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tukhugov.
A solid body kick from Arenas.
Arenas throws a big shot that misses.
Tukhugov tries to clinch but Arenas moves out of range.
Tukhugov slips a jab from Arenas.
Tukhugov swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tukhugov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Arenas circles away from the clinch attempt
and Arenas counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tukhugov moves in looking to clinch but Arenas pushes him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Arenas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tukhugov sprawling to the canvas! Tukhugov rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Arenas finish him?!
Tukhugov is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arenas drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Tukhugov's head, knocking him out cold! Arenas is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nicolas Arenas!

After the fight, Nicolas Arenas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
