Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petr Jakovlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Vengrio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jakovlev comes into the arena with Devour blaring out of the sound system. Vengrio is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Muay Thai. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vengrio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jakovlev misses with a series of wild punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vengrio gets underhooks to prevent Jakovlev's takedown attempt.
Vengrio goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jakovlev blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jakovlev is working for takedown but Vengrio is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jakovlev tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vengrio just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jakovlev drops back looking for a leg! Vengrio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vengrio manages to kick Jakovlev off! Jakovlev jumps back into Vengrio's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jakovlev shoots in for a takedown but Vengrio shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Vengrio lands a big head kick that sends Jakovlev to the canvas! Vengrio follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
