Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boipelo Chibuzo Ihejirika!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ross Gellar!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ihejirika dives in and scores a takedown into Gellar's guard.
Ihejirika might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ihejirika trying to control the position from guard on top but Gellar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ihejirika stopping the sweep attempt from Gellar.
Ihejirika won't allow Gellar to get back to his feet.
Gellar trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gellar keeping moving, preventing Ihejirika from controlling successfully.
Gellar will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ihejirika postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ihejirika wants to get up but he can't break Gellar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ihejirika tries for a takedown but Gellar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gellar rushes Ihejirika and presses him up against the cage.

Gellar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gellar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ihejirika manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ihejirika looking for a triangle here. Gellar is fighting it but it looks tight! Ihejirika pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gellar is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Boipelo Chibuzo Ihejirika!
Ross Gellar was interviewed post fight and said 'I did okay, he just did better...'.
