Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Herrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beebop Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Herrera is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Herrera, pushing him back against the cage.
Jackson takes an elbow to the forehead.

Herrera has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Herrera pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Herrera dives into Jackson 's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Herrera throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Herrera's guard. Nice move by Jackson !

A momentary lapse in concentration from Herrera enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Herrera manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Herrera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jackson looks up at the clock and then as Herrera takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jackson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Beebop Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Herrera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Herrera!

Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Herrera's temple.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson leaves Herrera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
