Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kid Caskey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Brown!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caskey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Brown slips under a jab.
Caskey connects with an inside leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Caskey.
Caskey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.
Caskey misses with a low kick.
Brown wants to counter with a clinch but Caskey pushes him away.
Caskey explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Brown swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brown blocks a low kick nicely.
Brown misses with a double jab
and Caskey counters with an inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown lands with a hook. Caskey tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A nice combination there by Brown.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brown tries to clinch but Caskey moves out of range.
Brown goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Caskey has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Brown lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brown.
Caskey is looking to chop away at Brown's legs.

and Caskey counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brown's knee momentarily.

Caskey tries to work over Brown's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Caskey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brown ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Brown lands a glancing blow to the side of Caskey's head.
Caskey scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Caskey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Brown shoots for a takedown but Caskey saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brown.
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kid Caskey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Caskey throws the kick towards the body but Brown avoids it.

and Caskey counters with an outside leg kick.
Dave Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caskey fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

It appears Caskey was looking to counter with a kick there.

Caskey digs a right hand underneath Brown's ribcage. Brown let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Caskey is struggling to control the position.

Caskey stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Brown is trying to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kid Caskey will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A head kick misses from Brown.
Caskey feints and then cracks Brown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brown down.
Caskey bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Caskey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Brown takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Caskey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Brown misses with a straight left.

Caskey clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the cage.
Caskey has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Brown is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Caskey is defending well.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Caskey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Caskey wants it to stay on the feet.
Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Caskey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brown's sensitive parts.
Caskey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Caskey but Caskey pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Caskey for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Caskey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown misses with a left hand
and Caskey counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Caskey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Brown misses with a lunging right hand
and Caskey counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A slapping leg kick lands for Caskey.
Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Caskey.
Brown has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Caskey.

Caskey rushes Brown and presses him up against the cage.
Caskey's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Brown has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Caskey.

Caskey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Caskey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Caskey.
Brown is trying to pull guard but Caskey has him pressed against the cage.
Caskey stalls.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brown lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Caskey has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Caskey and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Brown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Caskey.
Caskey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brown's calf.
Brown throws a hook to the side of Caskey's head but Caskey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Caskey quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Brown misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Caskey drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brown sprawls and moves away.
Caskey fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Brown is out of range.
Caskey sets himself, and Brown steps forward looking for the clinch! Caskey avoids it this time.
Brown on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kid Caskey dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Caskey tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brown avoids it.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kid Caskey.
Caskey keeps Brown at a distance using the push kick.
Brown takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Caskey slips under a jab.
An inside leg kick lands from Caskey.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Caskey, right into the meat.
Caskey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brown.
You can see that Brown has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks
Brown looks for a takedown but Caskey sprawls well.

Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Caskey counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Brown badly! Caskey follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Brown out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Caskey finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kid Caskey!
