The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pafuti throws a leg kick but Sinlet sees it coming and moves out of range.
Sinlet swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pafuti.
Sinlet changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Pafuti gets the takedown into side control.
Pafuti is staying tight to Sinlet's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Pafuti wants to stand but Sinlet has his arm trapped.

Sinlet tries to buck Pafuti off but Pafuti is having none of it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Sinlet or perhaps it was just good defense by Pafuti, which made it look bad.

Pafuti manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sinlet on his heels. He'll look to pass Sinlet's guard now, I'm sure.
Pafuti is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Pafuti wants to control from the top but Sinlet keeps moving.
Pafuti slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pafuti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sinlet gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pafuti to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sinlet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pafuti shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sinlet but Sinlet pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sinlet is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pafuti is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Pafuti moves into full mount! Sinlet won't be happy about that!

Pafuti closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pafuti connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sinlet some visible discomfort.
Pafuti advances nicely into full mount.
Sinlet is desperately trying to improve his position but Pafuti has a good base and remains in mount.
Sinlet is trying to escape the mount but Pafuti keeps good control and instead manages to take Sinlet's back.

Pafuti is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sinlet looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pafuti went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Pafuti here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Pafuti moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pafuti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
