The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De La Cruz told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gingerson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as De La Cruz is looking to escape.
Gingerson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

De La Cruz is trying to remain composed but Gingerson is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Gingerson lands strikes from the back and De La Cruz isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
