Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommie Devito!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devito is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nakamura sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Devito leaves Nakamura with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nakamura plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Tommie Devito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Devito closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Nakamura manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Devito keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes.
Nakamura misses with a hook to the ribs.
Nakamura is trying to force a seperation but Devito has the dominant position.
Nakamura looking to slow down the pace here.
Nakamura fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nakamura is trying to break free.
Devito just leaning against Nakamura, taking a breather.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Devito breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nakamura throws a nice looking combination but Devito bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nakamura lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Devito backs up against the ropes.
Devito stuffs the takedown attempt from Nakamura. Nakamura gets slowly back to his feet.
Devito is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Nakamura. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Devito shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Devito working Nakamura over with strikes.

Devito has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nakamura defend it? Devito steps over the head and cranks it - Nakamura is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Devito!
