PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gwegowy East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gwegowy East!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacob Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw misses with a series of wild punches.

East shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than East was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
East postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
East landing strikes.
East staying calm.

Shaw avoids any damage from the ground and pound of East.
East grinds an elbow into Shaw's temple.

Shaw wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jacob Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

East is nestled in close to Shaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
