Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ole NKone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ole NKone was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NKone throws a lazy right hand but Santiago sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
NKone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Santiago wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
NKone throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

NKone looking to score a takedown here. Santiago is defending well but NKone drives through and ends up in Santiago's guard.
Santiago is looking to stand back up but NKone counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Santiago.
NKone scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Santiago has hold of NKone's hands but NKone slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
NKone working over Santiago with some ground and pound. Santiago looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Santiago is trying to defend against the ground and pound but NKone scores with a couple of nice shots.
NKone lands with a punch from half guard.
NKone scoring with strikes to the body and head.
NKone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Santiago is trying to stand up here but NKone is controlling him well.
NKone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santiago with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
NKone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

NKone is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Santiago has managed to free his arm - good work.
Santiago has hold of NKone's hands but NKone slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
NKone prevents Santiago from improving his position.
NKone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Santiago looks like he's trying to stand up.
Santiago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for NKone on the ground.
NKone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

After the fight, Ole NKone was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
