The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrie dodges the punch combination from Hudson.
Petrie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hudson's head backwards.
A jab from Hudson finds it's way through Petrie's defenses.
Hudson lands with a right hand.
Hudson looks to land a left hand but Petrie moved out of range nicely.
Petrie unleashes a big counter combination but Hudson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Hudson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hudson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Petrie circles away quickly and effectively.
Petrie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lester Hudson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Petrie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
It looked like Hudson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Petrie fails to land with a series of punches.
Petrie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hudson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hudson moves into range and clinches up with Petrie.
Hudson tries a knee to the head but Petrie blocks it.
Hudson lands with a light punch inside.

Petrie is looking to break free of the clinch but Hudson has double underhooks.
Hudson takes a shot to the head.
Hudson pushes off an throws an elbow but Petrie leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Petrie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hudson lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Drew Petrie has been cut.

Hudson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hudson throws a head kick that half lands.
Hudson looks to land a left hand but Petrie moved out of range nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Petrie! But no joy.
Petrie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hudson throws a front kick that sends Petrie stumbling back into the cage.

Hudson looks to land a right hand but Petrie moved out of range.
Petrie thuds a left hand into Hudson's body.
Hudson moves away from the strike by Petrie.
Petrie on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Petrie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Lester Hudson has been cut.
Hudson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A head kick misses from Hudson.
Hudson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Kombat MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Petrie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hudson.
Petrie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Petrie feints a jab promting Hudson to slip. Petrie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hudson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Petrie connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hudson's hands.

Hudson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Petrie on the side of the head.

Petrie tries to clinch there but Hudson circles away.
Petrie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Petrie throws a series of punches but Hudson moves out of range.
Petrie takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hudson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Petrie looks to land a combination but Hudson avoids it well.

and Hudson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hudson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hudson tries to clinch up but Petrie circles away and keeps his distance.
Hudson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Petrie moves in looking to clinch but Hudson pushes him off.

and Petrie counters with a stiff right hand.
Hudson misses with a head kick.
Petrie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hudson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Petrie.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hudson throws a shot from downtown. Petrie moves away and avoids it.
Petrie slips under a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Petrie, as that shot connected.
Hudson fails with an attempt to clinch.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Petrie! Hudson is backing up but he can't get away as Petrie lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Hudson and ends the fight. Great knockout.
