The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnor gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
McConnor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machida circles away quickly and effectively.
Machida shoots in for a double leg but McConnor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
