Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Negreanu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Helio Silva!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Negreanu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Negreanu sits in half guard.
Negreanu is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Negreanu prevents Silva from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Negreanu seems content to control.
Negreanu seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.

Silva wants to improve his position but Negreanu is controlling well.

Negreanu wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Negreanu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Negreanu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Negreanu works the jab nicely.
Negreanu drops Silva with a straight right hand, right on the button! Negreanu follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
