Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Sayers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geghard Ashour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sayers comes to the cage accompanied by Find My Baby - Moby. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane Sayers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Geghard Ashour!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashour misses with a takedown
and Sayers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ashour throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sayers's waist but Sayers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ashour off to one side.
Sayers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ashour moves out of range of the strikes.
Sayers moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromAshour.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ashour. Sayers does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ashour wants to clinch up but Sayers keeps it at a distance.

Shane Sayers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geghard Ashour.

Sayers scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ashour darts in looking for a takedown but Sayers gets double underhooks and turns Ashour into the cage.
Ashour throws a right hand that Sayers ducks under and follows up with a left that Sayers also avoids with ease.

Sayers darts in and clinches Ashour up against the cage.
Sayers lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Ashour tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Ashour is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sayers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sayers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ashour swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sayers stays in close to Ashour's body and controls the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ashour shoots in but no luck this time.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sayers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
