Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David C. Marvin!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marvin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Campbell's half guard.
Campbell tries to roll over but Marvin keeps him under control.
Marvin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Campbell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Campbell wants to improve his position but Marvin is controlling well.

Marvin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Campbell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marvin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Campbell tries to roll over but Marvin keeps him under control.

Marvin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Campbell has managed to free his arm - good work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marvin is looking to take a break and control but Campbell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Marvin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Campbell!
Campbell is looking to improve his position but Marvin isn't that keen on the idea.

Marvin has hold of Campbell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Campbell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Marvin manages to capitalize on a mistake by Campbell to take his back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Marvin shoots in and drives through. Campbell sprawls well.

Campbell shoots in and bounces Marvin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Campbell cracks Marvin with a solid left hand.

Campbell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marvin keeps working.

Campbell cracks Marvin with a big elbow.
Campbell is trying to ground and pound but Marvin uses the momentary lack of control by Campbell to regain half guard.
Campbell looks to land a strike but Marvin avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Marvin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Marvin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Campbell is aware though and is defending well.
David C. Marvin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Marvin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Campbell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Campbell throws an elbow that misses. Marvin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Campbell's guard. Nice move by Marvin!

Marvin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Campbell keeping moving, preventing Marvin from controlling successfully.
Marvin wants to pass the guard but Campbell is keeping the position.

Marvin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Marvin trying to control but Campbell is working from the bottom.
Marvin forces his way into half guard.

Marvin passes into side control, despite Campbell's attempt to control the position.

Marvin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Campbell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Marvin wants to control but Campbell is keeping him busy.

Marvin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marvin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Marvin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Marvin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Campbell has escaped the position, nice work there.

Marvin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Marvin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Campbell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Marvin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Marvin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Campbell, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David C. Marvin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Campbell stuffs the takedown attempt from Marvin. Marvin gets slowly back to his feet.
Marvin misses the shot to the body.
Oscar Campbell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Campbell throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Marvin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Campbell is in Marvin's guard.

Campbell stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Marvin has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Campbell manages to get his head free but now Marvin has transitioned to an armbar! Campbell grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Marvin! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
