The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulver fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ulver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ulver off to one side.
Smith misses with a low kick.
Ulver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ulver slips under a jab from Smith.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Ulver with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ulver is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Ulver tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ulver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
James Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arcturus Ulver.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith throws a leg kick but Ulver moved away.

Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Arcturus Ulver has been cut.

and Smith counters with a left to the body.
Ulver looks gassed!
Smith throws a right and a left that Ulver avoids nicely.
Ulver gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Smith counters with a series of strikes that sends Ulver to the canvas! Smith follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Ulver is rocked!

Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ulver, up you get!
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Smith drops Ulver with a huge uppercut! Ulver drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Smith is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
