Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylas Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sylas Creed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ruiz throws a sloppy head kick and Creed moves out of range easily.
Ruiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Creed tries to avoid it but Ruiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Creed to the ground. Creed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Creed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ruiz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Creed is defended easily by Ruiz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruiz throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Creed tries to close the distance and clinch but Ruiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Creed moves out of range as Ruiz throws a body kick.
Ruiz wants to clinch up but Creed keeps it at a distance.
Ruiz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sylas Creed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Ruiz.
Creed displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like Carlos Ruiz has been cut.

Creed fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ruiz, pushing him back against the cage.
Creed is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ruiz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Creed is trying to break free.
Creed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Ruiz is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Creed is trying to break the clinch but Ruiz is controlling him.
Creed wants to get back to striking at distance but Ruiz won't allow it.
Creed cracks Ruiz with a nice body shot.
Ruiz fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ruiz looks winded!

Creed is trying to push Ruiz away but Ruiz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Creed lands with a short shot to the head.
Creed takes an elbow to the forehead.
Creed lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Creed is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ruiz misses with a body punch.
Creed tries to break free but Ruiz pushes him back against the cage.

Ruiz breaks the clinch.
A punch lands to the side of Ruiz 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ruiz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ruiz wants to clinch.

Creed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Creed lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Creed misses with a series of wild punches.
Creed dodges the punch combination from Ruiz.
Creed misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ruiz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Creed misses.
Ruiz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Creed takes the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ruiz tries to stall but Creed uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Creed can't break the clinch.
Ruiz lands an elbow inside.
Creed tries to circle away but Ruiz has him pinned against the cage.

Creed tightens his grip and picks Ruiz up, before dumping him to the ground. Ruiz manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruiz controls Creed momentarily but Creed frees himself.
Creed slips nicely into half guard.
Creed landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Creed takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Creed lands a nice short elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sylas Creed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carlos Ruiz's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ruiz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Creed avoids it really well and circles away.
Creed appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ruiz is still on wobbly legs! Can Creed finish him?

Creed shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Ruiz is unconscious as Creed celebrates over his stricken foe!
