Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk misses with a two punch combination.
Bates misses with a two punch combination.
Hawk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bates avoids it really well and circles away.
Bates lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bates.
Bates misses with a wild combination.
Bates scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hawk fails to land with a series of punches.
Bates takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bates swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hawk drops Bates with a left right combo! Hawk follows him down to the ground into side control.

Bates is rocked!
Hawk lands some shots froms side control.
Bates is still in real trouble! Can Hawk finish him?
Hawk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bates on the ground.

Bates is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hawk is controlling him well.

Hawk looks up at the clock and then as Bates takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hawk smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
A big shot lands for Hawk! That's hurt Bates! Will he recover? Hawk fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
