I think Benvenuti might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Black Eye Peas - Let's get retarded. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Benvenuti - just one landing.

It looks like Chris Severn has been cut.
Severn moves out of range as Benvenuti throws a body kick.

Benvenuti feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Severn sprawling to the canvas! Severn rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Benvenuti finish him?!
Severn throws a head kick but Benvenuti moves out of range.
Benvenuti throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Severn changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Benvenuti.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good work by Benvenuti as he checks the leg kick.
Severn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Benvenuti thows a left - swing and a miss!
Severn throws a head kick but Benvenuti moves out of range.

and Benvenuti counters with a crisp right hand that drops Severn! Benvenuti lets Severn back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Severn is rocked!
Severn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Severn throws a hook but Benvenuti blocks it.
Benvenuti connects with a body shot that sends Severn's belly button to the back.

That has opened up Chris Severn's cut even more.
Benvenuti looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Benvenuti backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Severn's temple! It sends Severn violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Benvenuti celebrates and the doctors try to help Severn!
