Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Allen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Allen!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Clark keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Clark pushes Allen off and gets back to his feet.
Allen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Allen is looking to clinch but Clark is avoiding it.

Allen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Allen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Clark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allen is one step ahead there.
Clark is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Allen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen wants to pass the guard but Clark is keeping the position.
Allen prevents Clark from getting back to his feet.
Clark keeping moving, preventing Allen from controlling successfully.
Clark is trying to control the position but Allen postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Allen instigates a clinch.
Clark stops a takedown attempt from Allen.
Allen prevents Clark from breaking the clinch.
Clark is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Allen wants a takedown.

Allen tightens his grip and picks Clark up, before dumping him to the ground. Clark manages to land in guard.
Allen looks gassed!
Clark lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Allen!
Clark lands a big shot there that rocks Allen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Clark wants to control the pace but Allen is squirming around nicely.
BOOM! Clark connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Allen wants to control but Clark is having none of it.
Clark dominating with strikes here.
Clark takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Clark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clark is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Allen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Allen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Clark is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
No luck for Allen with that takedown attempt.
Jason Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Allen.
Allen stuffs the takedown attempt from Clark. Clark gets slowly back to his feet.
Clark shoots in and drives through. Allen sprawls well.
Allen shoots and misses
and Clark counters with a head kick.
Clark shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Allen as he avoids it easily.
Jason Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Allen scoring with strikes but Clark is staying in there.

Clark slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clark is not content to let Allen control the position.
Clark has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Allen is working away from the top position though.
Clark is trying to control but Allen passes into side control!
Allen working the ground and pound but Clark is defending the strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Allen decides to stand up, so the ref orders Clark to his feet.
Allen throws a combination that misses

and Clark moves into the clinch.

Clark jumps guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Clark will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Allen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Allen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Clark can't do much from the bottom here.
Clark tries to bench press Allen off him but Allen keeps the position.
Clark tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Clark manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Allen is pressing down on Clark's thigh, looking to free his foot. Clark is holding on for now.
Clark works his way to full guard. Good work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Clark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Allen stopping the sweep attempt from Clark.

Allen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Allen looking to sit in guard and control but Clark gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Allen keeping moving, preventing Clark from controlling successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Allen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clark wants to pass the guard but Allen is keeping the position.
Clark trying to control but Allen is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Allen counters with a single leg into guard. Clark didn't expect that.
Clark is looking to stand up but Allen isn't so interested in that idea.
Allen cracks Clark with a solid left hand.

Clark kicks Allen off and gets to his feet.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.
Allen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clark avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Clark ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Clark no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Allen wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Allen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Allen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Clark controls Allen momentarily but Allen frees himself.
Clark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Clark trying to control the action but Allen is working from the bottom.
Clark tries to pass the half guard into mount. Allen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Allen wants to control but Clark is keeping busy.
Allen tries to roll over but Clark keeps him under control.
Tom Allen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Allen tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Clark has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Allen looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Clark loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Allen hold on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Allen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Clark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Clark has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Allen is working away from the top position though.

Clark not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Clark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allen is one step ahead there.
Clark manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Clark can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Allen is looking to escape.
Clark has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Allen's face.

Allen tries to control Clark's body but Clark pushes him off. Allen squirms to his side and now Clark has his back!
Allen is keeping busy.
Clark is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Allen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Clark has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Clark wants to control but Allen is keeping busy.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jason Clark just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Clark shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Allen but Allen pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Allen.
Allen grinds an elbow into Clark's temple.
Clark manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Allen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Clark slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Allen distracts Clark with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Allen wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jason Clark showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Clark has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
