PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Origin Ovmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Worry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ovmann comes to the cage accompanied by Bloody Knuckles by HIGH ON FIRE. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Worry.
Ovmann shoots in for a double leg but Worry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Worry looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Worry uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ovmann has time to react.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Worry, as that shot connected.

Ovmann moves out of range of the body kick.
Worry blocks a jab.
Worry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ovmann ducks under a wild hook from Worry.
A slow jab from Ovmann misses its intended target.
Ovmann misses with a straight right.
Worry darts in trying to clinch
and Ovmann counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ovmann is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Worry tries to clinch there but Ovmann circles away.

Worry postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ovmann is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Worry, into his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Worry can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ovmann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Worry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Worry is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ovmann is controlling him.
Ovmann knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Worry on the ground.
Ovmann wants to stand but Worry has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ovmann wants to control from the top but Worry keeps moving.

Ovmann stands up and waves to Worry to follow him.
Ovmann doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Worry counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Worry is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ovmann is looking to improve his position.

Ovmann is staying active underneath Worry, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Worry is trying to drag Ovmann to the mat but Ovmann just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Diego Worry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Ovmann closes the distance and clinches up with Worry, looking for a takedown. Ovmann pushes Worry against the cage but Worry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ovmann avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ovmann throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Worry sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Worry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ovmann swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ovmann is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Worry throws a front kick aimed at Ovmann's knee but Ovmann avoids it well.

Ovmann jabs Worry to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Worry throws a lazy right hand but Ovmann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It looked like Ovmann wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ovmann shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Worry defends it nicely.
Worry walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ovmann drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Worry swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ovmann's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Worry!
