Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rutherford scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Danielson to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Rutherford away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Danielson got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Rutherford throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Danielson slips a jab and a cross from Rutherford.
Rutherford does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

It looked like Danielson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rutherford creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Rutherford lands a head kick that bluckles Danielson and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Rutherford no doubt looking to push for a finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rutherford creates a bit of distance and cracks Danielson with a big uppercut! Danielson goes down! The referee pushes Rutherford away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Danielson make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Rutherford takes it!
