Adams kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gaslight Anthem - Boxer. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy cracks a nice hook into Adams's ribs.
Adams shoots for a double leg takedown but Guy sprawls well. He's pushed Adams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Adams shoots in looking for a takedown but Guy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Guy scores with a sloppy right hand. Adams should have avoided that one.

It looks like Gregory Adams has been cut.

Guy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Adams takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Guy's coach down at Sentinel Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Guy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Guy misses with a two punch combination.

Adams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guy to the mat! Guy manages to get full guard.

Guy has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Adams has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Guy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Adams's elbow.

Guy lands a body punch in the clinch.

Guy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Guy cracks Adams with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Guy punishes Adams's body with a nice straight punch.
Guy scores with a hook to the body. Adams takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Buddy Guy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Guy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Adams on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Adams walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Adams is rocked!
Guy fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Adams to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Adams looks to clinch but Guy throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Adams taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Buddy Guy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
