Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zorg Zorgson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Tripplet!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zorgson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zorgson.
Tripplet tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zorgson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bruce Tripplet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tripplet misses with the combination.
Zorgson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tripplet looks to throw the jab but Zorgson is out of range.
A nice combination there by Zorgson.
No joy there for Tripplet, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Zorgson moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zorgson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tripplet avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zorg Zorgson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zorgson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tripplet throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zorgson misses with a takedown
and Tripplet counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zorgson forces Tripplet back against the cage and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Zorgson manages to break the clinch.
Tripplet is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tripplet looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tripplet is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zorgson keeps the fight on the outside.
Tripplet misses with a lunging right hand

and Zorgson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Tripplet.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tripplet.

Zorgson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd cheers as Zorgson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tripplet doesn't seem phased though.
Zorgson looks for a takedown but Tripplet sprawls well.

Zorgson instigates a clinch.
Tripplet looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Zorgson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bruce Tripplet is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Zorgson takes the fight into the clinch.
Tripplet misses with the head strike.

Zorgson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zorgson drops his hands momentarily and Tripplet takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zorgson lands with a kick to the temple. Tripplet shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Tripplet closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tripplet looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Tripplet is looking to control Zorgson's arms but Zorgson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tripplet has his back to the cage.

Zorgson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tripplet tries to clinch up but Zorgson circles away and keeps his distance.
Zorgson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tripplet swivels and escapes.
Zorgson sets himself, and Tripplet steps forward looking for the clinch! Zorgson avoids it this time.
Tripplet throws a series of punches but Zorgson avoids them all with ease.
Zorgson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tripplet sprawls and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tripplet avoids the body shot from Zorgson.
Tripplet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zorgson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zorgson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Tripplet throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tripplet connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Tripplet with a hook.


It looks like Zorg Zorgson has been cut.
Zorgson closes the distance and clinches up with Tripplet, looking for a takedown. Zorgson pushes Tripplet against the cage but Tripplet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zorgson is breathing heavily.

Zorgson moves into the clinch successfully.
Tripplet has a couple of punches blocked by Zorgson.
Zorgson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tripplet wants to break free but Zorgson has control.
Tripplet misses with a short punch on the inside.

Zorgson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Zorgson is adopting a defensive guard.
Tripplet trying to stand up but can't free himself from Zorgson's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Zorgson pushes Tripplet off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zorgson slips a jab and a cross from Tripplet.
Zorgson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Tripplet leaves Zorgson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tripplet is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Tripplet tries to clinch there but Zorgson circles away.
Tripplet blocks a head kick by Zorgson.
Tripplet throws a right hand that Zorgson ducks under and follows up with a left that Zorgson also avoids with ease.
Tripplet digs a good hook to Zorgson's body.
A telegraphed right hand from Tripplet misses the target.
Tripplet feints a jab promting Zorgson to slip. Tripplet then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Zorgson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


Zorgson is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bruce Tripplet will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Zorg Zorgson's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Zorgson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Zorgson misses with a wild body shot.
Zorgson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Zorgson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tripplet counters with a straight right hand.
Oh Zorgson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tripplet connects with a superb combination that knocks Zorgson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Tripplet before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Zorgson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bruce Tripplet!
In his post fight interview, Bruce Tripplet started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
