The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamond throws a big shot that misses.
Lamond leaves Alaniz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lamond throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lamond sets himself, and Alaniz steps forward looking for the clinch! Lamond avoids it this time.
Lamond throws a series of punches but Alaniz moves out of range.
Lamond keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Gordon Lamond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Alaniz.

Alaniz has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Lamond! Can he survive? No! He's out! Alaniz gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted.
