PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ellis Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ho Lee Fuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by "The Four Horsemen" by Metallica. Ho Lee Fuk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ellis Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ho Lee Fuk!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuk throws a head kick that misses.
Fuk lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Nice straight punches there by Fuk. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fuk.

Fuk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Fuk finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miller wants to sweep here but Fuk controlling him for the moment.
Miller wants to stand and escape but Fuk is having none of it.
Fuk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fuk stays in close to Miller's body and controls the position.

Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fuk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fuk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fuk looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fuk looking for a sweep. Not yet Fuk, not yet.

Fuk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuk wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment.

Fuk tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg.

Fuk has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miller is working away from the top position though.
Miller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Fuk has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though.

Fuk has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Miller has passed into side control.

Fuk is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Let's hope that Fuk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Fuk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miller defends it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Miller missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

A close round but Ho Lee Fuk will probably get the nod.

Miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fuk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Miller counters with a straight right hand.

Miller bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Miller is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Fuk is looking to break free of the clinch but Miller has double underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Fuk is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Miller is defending well.
Ellis Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ho Lee Fuk.

I was talking to Miller's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Fuk is working for takedown but Miller is calmly controlling the position for now.

Fuk with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Miller lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Fuk backwards.

Fuk has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Miller avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
