Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Serg Ebonivic!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ebonivic shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Perez is trying to defend but Ebonivic finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ebonivic seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Perez has recovered full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ebonivic's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Perez pulls Ebonivic in close to prevent any damage.
Ebonivic postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ebonivic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Perez really is a fat lump.

Ebonivic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Perez is keeping the position for now.
Ebonivic is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ebonivic throwing strikes but missing.
Ebonivic is stalling in the full guard.

Ebonivic drops back looking for a leg! Perez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Perez manages to kick Ebonivic off! Ebonivic jumps back into Perez's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ebonivic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ebonivic seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ebonivic is looking to stand up but Perez won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Perez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ebonivic is trying hard to land a takedown here. Perez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ebonivic forces Perez back against the cage and clinches.
Perez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ebonivic pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Perez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ebonivic just stands there and leans against the cage.

Perez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ebonivic is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Perez to the mat. Perez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ebonivic stays in close to Perez's body and controls the position.
Ebonivic lands a couple of digs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ebonivic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ebonivic is working Perez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Serg Ebonivic dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ebonivic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Perez circles away.
Ebonivic misses with a series of wild punches.

Ebonivic gets a clinch.
Ebonivic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ebonivic. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Perez throws an elbow that misses.
Ebonivic avoids the elbow strike from Perez, against the cage.

Ebonivic has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Perez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Ebonivic keeps control of the position as Perez tries to break free.

Perez is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Ebonivic gets his hands free as Perez looks to control.
Ebonivic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Perez trying to control the position but Ebonivic manages to sink in the hooks.

Ebonivic has managed to slip his arm under Perez's chin. This could be all over... yep, Perez is tapping out! Submission win for Ebonivic.
