The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valencia throws a combination that misses

and Rocksteady counters with a crisp one two that drops Valencia! Rocksteady thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Valencia to his feet! Valencia is in big trouble!
Rocksteady dives in and grabs Valencia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valencia pushes down on Rocksteady's head and hops out.
Valencia throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Bebob Rocksteady has been cut.
Rocksteady should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Valencia is looking to clinch but Rocksteady is avoiding it.
Rocksteady looks for a takedown but Valencia sprawls well.
Rocksteady pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Valencia was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Rocksteady counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Valencia seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kareem Valencia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bebob Rocksteady.

Rocksteady ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rocksteady no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Valencia has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rocksteady is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Valencia yanks on the arm and Rocksteady is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Valencia.
