Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent De Hazard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Foo Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent De Hazard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Foo Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Hazard gets tackled into the cage by Fighter. Fighter maintains the clinch.

Fighter jumps guard.
De Hazard passes into half guard.
Fighter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. De Hazard is working away from the top position though.

De Hazard seems to be working for a kimura but Fighter defends the submission attempt.
De Hazard wants to control but Fighter is keeping him busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fighter can do anything to dispel that myth.
De Hazard works his foot free and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Hazard fails to advance to Fighter's back.

De Hazard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fighter is surviving well by controlling De Hazard's body position as best he can.

Fighter gets back to half guard.
Fighter is looking for a sweep. De Hazard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

De Hazard seems to be working for a kimura but Fighter defends the submission attempt.

De Hazard wants to take a breather but Fighter is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fighter is defending against the submission attempts here by De Hazard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fighter slaps away a takedown attempt from De Hazard, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Fighter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fighter wants to stand and escape but instead De Hazard has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Fighter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. De Hazard is aware though and is defending well.
Fighter is trying to control the position but De Hazard postures up.
Fighter wants to sweep here but De Hazard controlling him for the moment.

De Hazard pushes down on Fighter's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Fighter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fighter prevents De Hazard from improving his position.

Fighter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fighter throws an elbow that misses. De Hazard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fighter's guard. Nice move by De Hazard!

Fighter tries to escape but De Hazard is in control.

Fighter is not content to let De Hazard control the position.
Fighter takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
An elbow from De Hazard crashes against the mat.

De Hazard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Fighter tries to improve position but can't.

De Hazard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fighter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

De Hazard tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fighter wants to control but De Hazard postures up.
Fighter tries to buck De Hazard off but De Hazard is having none of it.

De Hazard tries for a kimura but Fighter is defending well.
Fighter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Hazard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fighter avoids any damage from the ground and pound of De Hazard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fighter is looking for a sweep.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

De Hazard is trying to get an arm triangle but Fighter is defending well.

Fighter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. De Hazard did well to prevent Fighter getting side control.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting De Hazard here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
