Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Aragao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Aragao has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deshawn Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Aragao!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson connects with a jab.
Aragao looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson lands the left hand.


It looks like Jon Aragao has been cut.
Aragao shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jackson cracks Aragao with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Aragao looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jackson finish him?

Aragao stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aragao wants it to stay on the feet.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aragao tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aragao to the ground. Aragao escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Aragao, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deshawn Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aragao tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
