The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Storm gets the takedown into side control.

Storm rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hoshi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Storm misses with a takedown attempt - Hoshi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Storm moves in looking to clinch but Hoshi pushes him off.

and Storm counters with a leg kick.

Storm shoots in for a double leg but Hoshi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Storm decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Storm shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoshi pinned against the cage. Hoshi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Storm throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Storm closes the distance and clinches up with Hoshi, looking for a takedown. Storm pushes Hoshi against the ropes but Hoshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Storm closes the distance and clinches up with Hoshi, looking for a takedown. Storm pushes Hoshi against the ropes but Hoshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hoshi looks to land a combination. Storm sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Storm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Storm trying to control but Hoshi is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Storm looking to control but Hoshi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hoshi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Storm thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Hoshi is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Storm wants to control the pace but Hoshi is squirming around nicely.

A close second round but Ryu Hoshi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Storm is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Hoshi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Storm tries to stall but Hoshi uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Still in the clinch, Hoshi scores with a nice short uppercut.
Storm tries a body shot but Hoshi blocks it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Storm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hoshi looking to sit in guard and control but Storm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hoshi keeping moving, preventing Storm from controlling successfully.
Hoshi is looking to stand up but Storm isn't so interested in that idea.

Storm works over Hoshi with some ground and pound from guard.
Hoshi can't keep his opponent in guard - Storm advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Storm trying to control the action but Hoshi is working from the bottom.

Storm postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hoshi to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hoshi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jacobee Storm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hoshi misses with a combination

and Storm counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Storm.
Storm wants to control from the top but Hoshi keeps moving.
Storm throws a strike but Hoshi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Storm not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacobee Storm.
I think Hoshi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
