Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Borat Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Rowinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michal Rowinski looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borat Sagdiyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Rowinski!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagdiyev shoots in looking for a takedown. Rowinski tries to sprawl out of it but Sagdiyev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Rowinski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rowinski only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Rowinski forces Sagdiyev back against the ropes and clinches.

Rowinski is trying to trip Sagdiyev. He has hold of a leg but Sagdiyev is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rowinski persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Sagdiyev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sagdiyev is looking to stand back up but Rowinski counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sagdiyev.
Sagdiyev is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rowinski scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sagdiyev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rowinski scores with a couple of nice shots.
Sagdiyev definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Sagdiyev moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sagdiyev trying to keep a closed guard but Rowinski is proving a slippery customer.

Sagdiyev is looking to stand up but Rowinski isn't so interested in that idea.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rowinski's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rowinski in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sagdiyev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sagdiyev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sagdiyev passes into half guard.
Sagdiyev wants to control but Rowinski is keeping him busy.

Sagdiyev is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rowinski has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sagdiyev thows a huge punch but Rowinski dodges it nicely.
Rowinski regains full guard. Nicely done.

Sagdiyev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Sagdiyev trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowinski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sagdiyev passes easily into side control. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michal Rowinski will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rowinski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sagdiyev has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sagdiyev and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rowinski walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sagdiyev checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Rowinski has managed to clinch.
Sagdiyev tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Sagdiyev ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sagdiyev no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rowinski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rowinski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Sagdiyev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rowinski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sagdiyev is trying to keep Rowinski in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sagdiyev has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rowinski should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sagdiyev has tightened it up now! Rowinski should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
