Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wally Pinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Pan!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Pinn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pinn.
Pan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pinn tries to avoid it but Pan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pinn to the ground. Pinn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pinn finds it's way round the side to connect with Pan's head.
Pan shoots for a takedown but Pinn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jab by Pinn.
Pan tries to clinch up.
Pan dives in for a single leg takedown but Pinn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Wally Pinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Pan.
Pinn swats away the attempt to clinch by Pan.
Nice defenses there by Pan.
Pinn loads up on a big right hand but Pan slips the punch.
Pinn thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pinn keeps the fight on the outside.
Pinn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pan slips a jab from Pinn.
Pan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pinn but Pinn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pan shoots for a takedown but Pinn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pinn scores with a one two! Pan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Pan moves in looking to clinch but Pinn pushes him off.
Pan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pinn.
Pan tries to close the distance and clinch but Pinn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pan slips a jab and a cross from Pinn.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A combination from Pinn does no damage.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pinn.
Pan tries to clinch up.
Pinn batters Pan with a massive right followed by a huge left! Pan is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Pinn lands a final crushing right hand to drop Pan to the mat with a gruesome thud! Pinn is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Wally Pinn!
