Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jameson Laphroaig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Yang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jameson Laphroaig!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yang fails with an attempt to clinch.
Yang tries to clinch but Laphroaig moves out of range.

Yang takes the fight into the clinch.

Yang pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Laphroaig forces Yang back against the cage and clinches.

Yang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Laphroaig throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yang tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Laphroaig is in Yang's guard.
Laphroaig throws a big right hand that misses.
Laphroaig wants to pass the guard but Yang is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laphroaig thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Yang keeping full guard, as Laphroaig tries to pass.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laphroaig is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yang looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laphroaig controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Yang is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Yang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laphroaig on the ground.
Yang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Laphroaig controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Laphroaig fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yang to the ground. Laphroaig is now in Yang's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Laphroaig stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Laphroaig is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Laphroaig works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Laphroaig seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Yang is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jameson Laphroaig!
