Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Twister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vice Versa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Versa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Highway to hell. Yoshi Twister had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshi Twister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vice Versa!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twister takes a swing at Versa's ribcage but misses.
Versa takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Versa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Twister has time to react.
Twister darts in trying to clinch
and Versa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Versa throws a shot from downtown. Twister moves away and avoids it.
Versa jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Twister rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Versa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Versa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Twister.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Twister moves into range and clinches up with Versa.
Twister has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Versa after a bit of a struggle.
Versa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Twister takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Twister throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Twister looks to score with a jab to the body but Versa is just out of range.
It seemed like Versa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Twister bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Twister throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Versa throws out a leg kick but Twister moves out of range and Versa only half commits.

Twister takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Twister will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Versa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Versa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Versa wants it to stay on the feet.

Twister lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Versa circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Versa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Twister is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Versa.

Twister seems to have got his legs back now.

The crowd cheers as Versa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Twister doesn't seem phased though.

Versa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
