The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richard shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Richard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Richard throws a strike but Down To Party avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Richard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Down To Party works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Richard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Richard gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Down To Party moves in looking to clinch but Richard pushes him off.

and Richard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Down To Party won't be happy with that.

Richard is trying to get an arm triangle but Down To Party is defending well.
Richard lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Richard tries for a kimura but Down To Party is defending well.

Richard goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Down To Party rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Richard's guard! Nice work there by Down To Party!

Richard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Down To Party defends it easily.
Richard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Richard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

It looks like Salvatore Richard has been cut.
Down To Party throws a right and a left that Richard avoids nicely.
Richard tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Down To Party manages to circle out of the way.
