The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spunkly misses with a series of wild punches.
Clown is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Spunkly misses with a double jab
and Clown counters with a good low kick that Spunkly was not able to check.
Spunkly lands a slapping body shot.
Clown is breathing heavily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clown creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Spunkly's defenses.
Clown lands an elbow just above Spunkly 's eye.
Clown gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Clown just misses with a elbow thrown towards Spunkly's brow.

Clown gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Spunkly throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Clown in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Spunkly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Spunkly throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Clown pushing down on Spunkly's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Clown passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Spunkly!
Clown connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Clown throws some wild stikes that Spunkly manages to avoid easily.

Spunkly tries to reverse the position but Clown maintains control.
Spunkly tries to buck Clown off but Clown takes his back!
Spunkly defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Clown's arms.
Spunkly wants to get back to his feet.
Spunkly felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Clown is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Spunkly trying to control the hands but Clown won't let him.
Clown has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Spunkly is in real trouble here. Clown gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Spunkly is tapping out! Clown wins by rear naked choke!
